LIMESTONE OF LOST LEGACIES

Limestone of Lost Legacies is a mural project to memorialize five teens who lost their lives to gun violence in 2017 and 2018 in the District of Columbia. The mural aims to create a space of remembrance and healing for the families who grieve forever.

As a part of the mural we want to create a space where friends and family members can leave messages describing the victims as how they knew them and not as how the media stereotyped them. These messages will become a part of the finished mural and become a part of the conversation as we work to change the narrative around gun violence in DC.
